- Skills assessment
To provide the finest elderly care services, our caregivers must be of the highest character. During our interview process we also verify each candidate’s commitment to providing compassionate, respectful care. Only those caregivers we would welcome into our own home are asked to join the team at Preferred HealthStaff.
Once hired, our elderly care services professionals participate in our extensive training program. Training and testing of essential skills is part of the process each caregiver goes through when joining the Preferred HealthStaff team. Each of our elderly care services professionals first goes through training to become a Certified Home Health Aide. This comprehensive training program includes 30 classes ranging from Understanding Client’s Rights to Infection Control to Understanding Elder Abuse. Additional required training courses include Alzheimer’s and Memory Care classes, Non-Elder Care training, and Home Care Medications training.
